Getting ready to enjoy the garden...

Happy days of sunshine are coming soon. I know that because our entire neighborhood was raking and mowing as we left for the shop on Saturday (we're on it today). Yep, first the not-so-fun stuff: the removal of wintery debris and pine needles and dead junk. Then you get to plant, add some new structures or accessories, get those hanging baskets going. Wheeee!

Come to us for all the fun stuff: we just got in a shipment of lovely trellises, Soji solar lanterns, garden art, teak mushrooms, and lots of great things for outdoor dining, from linens to tea lights for the table. Here are just a few new arrivals (more coming this week).

New Soji solar lanterns light up the garden every night
(we leave ours out all winter). So obsessed with them!

Wonderful new containers, vases, planters for outdoors or in.

Adorable child's bistro set for all those garden tea parties.

Hand blown glass solar lantern sits on a table or hangs from a tree branch.

One of the new limited-edition Soji lanterns.

Clever glass tea light holders to hang from a branch or hook.

Gorgeous planter with trellis.

Our reclaimed teak mushrooms are back in stock – for garden or mantel.

Hand carved wood mushrooms (indoors or out).

Spicy Sojis

New solar string lights (white spheres also in stock).

Iron garden spheres (foldable) in three sizes.

Reclaimed teak bowls – just gorgeous.

Another sweet hanging tea light (great with battery-operated candles and a little bit of moss!)

Hey mama...

Mother's Day is two weeks from... yesterday. Just a little reminder, in case you need to send something out. And as I always say, you don't need to be an actual mother to receive a little something something. My "dog children" always give me a sweet gift, for instance.

Here are just a few new arrivals at Pomegranate that would make great mother's day gifts (amongst many). We do have it all!

Great farmer's market shoppers are made from recycled fishing nets.

Silky lavender-infused spa mask to rest tired eyes (heat for headaches).

Lavender heat wrap for shoulders, neck, back, knees...

Cards. Lots of cards.

Silky neck wrap: heat for instant relief.

Lavender/eucalyptus sachets and travel eye mask.

Grow some happy flowers right from the bamboo container!

Travel fever

We love to travel. We want to travel. Maybe next year... Meanwhile, we love to hear your stories about where you're going (or where you've been): Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, New York... it's all fabulous!

When you travel, it's so nice to have some little luxuries with you, good organization, and a place to put things. Here's just a little sample of what we love at Pomegranate for any kind of traveling, from short road trip to explore our lovely state, to international adventure.

Baggallini - the perfect travel tote (on sale at 20% off, too) –
not shown, our favorite baggallini petite carryon bag.

Bon voyage notebooks for writing, doodling....

Lavender sleep mask for the flight. Ahhhh. Sends a good
message to chatty seat neighbors, too.

Non-slip headbands, just in case you have a bad hair day.

Our new favorite journals: paper blanks, in all sizes.

Leather passport covers, luggage tags, card holders...

Do not leave home without a long-lasting, luxurious French guest soap
(or two). Solid lotion stick is exempt from the plastic bag ordeal;
carry it anywhere for handy skin hydration.

Taxi wallets are slim, but hold a lot.

Card decks with perfect walks (city or village).

Travel size Déja Poo will come in handy.

Another great journal.

Slip these into your bag and take notes wherever you go.

Lightweight, beautiful scarf and petite leather jewelry case – perfect!

Jilly Bean: our new shop dog in training

We posted on Facebook already about our new girl (Jilly the little wonder dog), but wanted to make it official on our blog. As many of you know, we lost our dearest Mollie (who was a friend to so many of our customers) last fall. We weren't at all sure we wanted to get another dog; the grief was overwhelming and we just couldn't think about it. But as so many good things happen, Jilly just fell into our laps (and hearts). My mother rescued her at only four months old (from a mean, bad family)... and then mom had hand surgery (etc.) and decided that she couldn't really fully take care of little Jilly, so she became ours!

She's an 18-pound chihuahua/mini-pinscher mix and just had her first birthday last month. And she's as cute as can be. She loves everyone, although is still a little fearful around other dogs.

We've been bringing her to the shop with us lately, even though there's still some training to be done. She'd love to meet you, so stop by!

Gifts for mom... and beyond!

We keep packing more finds into our little shop. Robert looks at me sideways every time the UPS truck pulls up. But we have to be ready for spring, summer, mother's day, father's day... all of it. And so we are. Right now I'm thinking about Mother's Day, and how easy it is to find something sweet for mama. You don't have to spend a fortune, and guess what: you can give yourself a little something something. That's the best part, non?
