Parisian treats

Looking at this post from Paris, I was nearly drooling reading about all the luxe foods the Parisians bring in for their Christmas festivities. Apparently the average family spends 175 euros on their Christmas dinner (about $230?). That's not including the wine and champagne, I would guess. Oh la la.

Stocking stuffers... a few ideas to start

Don't you love figuring out what to stuff the stockings with at Christmas? It's a fun little challenge, and you can get really creative (and extravagant, too, if you wish). Start with our Lump of Coal, whether the recipient is naughty or nice. It's a delicious lump of hand spun marshmallow covered with dark chocolate and is soooo good. Our little jars of honey from Savannah Bee are another sweet treat. Hand creams, cute office supplies, good soap, déjà poo (!), maybe some jewelry, a wallet. So many possibilities... here are just a few you can find at Pomegranate (stayed tuned for more).

Savannah Bee hand creams and Royal Jelly body butter – so good!

Savannah Bee travel kit has it all (including this great little tote)

One for every bathroom... you won't be sorry

For those of us who are obsessed with pencils: "delete" eraser

New jewelry from Grace George and Harlow

The cutest little Belgian soaps for pixies

Great fabric thumbtacks for notes, photos...

Petite jar of delicious creamed honey from Savannah Bee

Making Christmas cookies together

I loved making Christmas cookies with my mom and gram when I was little – sprinkling the silver dragées at the end was the best. I would have swooned over one of these aprons, made for mommy/daughter baking and cooking sessions. What a great gift for both of them!

The elves are working as fast as they can...

...and the elves are cold! It's been a wild ride this week, with boxes upon boxes arriving every day. We've been scurrying around putting everything out, getting ready for our big open house this Saturday, helping customers put together lovely groups of gifts (or one quick gift – shazam – out the door it goes).

So happy to say we are fully stocked with so many of our favorite things: Lollia, Tokyo Milk, glassware (oooh, the icy pine glasses are back, and looking gorgeous), jewelry, handbags, beautiful picture frames, mango and bamboo salad/serving bowls and trays, soaps, lotions, candles (so many great candles!), our alpaca scarves and throws (need one right now!)...

And then there's all the Christmas décor: ornaments, sprays, wreaths, garlands, rice lights, napkins and soaps, trays and dishes...

More coming tomorrow, and even more next week. Meanwhile, we hope you join us for our 14th annual Pomegranate Soirée and Day of Giving Back on Saturday, December 7, from 10am to 7pm.

Here's the scoop: all day long, we'll have refreshments, treats and libations for you. Champagne and chocolate, hot spiced cider and cookies, and little nibbles everywhere. Including fabulous mini cupcakes from Ida's. Yes, we pull out all the stops.

There will be wonderful door prizes, an ornament exchange* and a tote giveaway to the first 10 people who spend $100 or more. Then, from 4-7pm, we'll be serving swanky Pometinis from the ice bar. It's a whole day to shop, mingle, and enjoy.

Perhaps best of all, we will donate ten percent of all sales to The Bloom Project, a local group that repurposes donated flowers and delivers happy bouquets to hospice and palliative care patients. We love what they do, and hope to make it a really big day... so we can give a really big donation!

*How does the ornament exchange work? Easy. You bring in your new or used, nice, small to medium clear glass vases to donate to The Bloom Project, and we will give you a sweet, spun glass bird ornament (value $3.95) for each qualifying vase. These will be used for bedside bouquets, so, please, no tall, skinny, mini, or colored glass vases...

Here are just a few shots of new goodies (just from the last few days):

Be one of the first ten to get this cute canvas tote ($22 value)

Lots of new jewelry from Grace George (handmade in Baton Rouge)

So many lovely pieces, maybe more jewelry than we've ever had

More Grace George earrings

Tokyo Milk hand creams and perfumes – yum!

Bath salts in great little jars (and lovely foaming hand soaps)

Fully stocked with Lollia products, including luxe bubble baths

Adorable pewter ornaments

Christmas cheer! Napkins, candles, foaming soaps...

A dramatic ornament to hang from the center of a wreath or garland

Our favorite Italian frames are back: simple and gorgeous

Christmas tea towels make a great gift

Aprons, Christmas and everyday – think hostess gift
