A pop-up shop for the holidays!
We are very excited about our latest piece of {insane} news: we are going to open a pop-up holiday shop in the Old Mill District! It will be called the Pomegranate Holiday Shop, and it's going to be gorgeous and full and so much fun.
Grand opening is set for November 15; we'll be open through January 3. Both stores will be open for the season, of course, and we'll some really great things in both. In the Old Mill location (next to Vanilla and Nashelle) you'll see lots and lots of holiday décor (including trees, ornaments, garlands, trays, party napkins...) and lovely gifts (some brand new lines, too). In our original farmhouse location, we'll bring out our usual holiday magic, with gifts and décor, warmth and cheer. Both locations will have plenty of lovely candles, hostess gifts, serving pieces, stocking stuffers and goodies for the whole family.
We're already hard at work (where are those elves when you need them??) in both places, dressing everything up for autumn at Pomegranate Home & Garden, and just getting through boxes and boxes of goodies at the other space (not open yet, of course, and it's kind of a madhouse). Sooo many good things are in stock right now; you'll just have to stop by.

The last flea...
Our last flea market of the season is always a bit bittersweet. On the one hand, we spend crazy amounts of energy (and dollars) on promoting, planning, organizing, promoting promoting promoting... and then they just zip by so fast. By the end of hosting five flea markets, we are ready to take a breather. They are so much fun, however, and I'm always whining and sad that we have to wait another year for the next round.
This last Vintage Flea Market (September 13) was a really nice one: we were so happy with the vendors and all the good stuff they brought! The weather was absolutely perfect, and things went so well. We were very busy inside the store, too, which is a huge relief for us. It kind of kickstarts the fall in the right direction. By the time we got the last of the signs down and all the accoutrements packed up, we were pretty whipped, but satisfied and happy at the outcome. All you can do at that point is go get some sushi and sit in a near-catatonic state and enjoy dinner...
Here are some pictures of the September market to peruse. Stay tuned to our website (www.pomegranate-home.com) for next year's Vintage Flea Market summer dates (usually announced in February or March).
Be sure to scroll all the way down to the last picture, for the cutest flea market attendee of all.
p.s. A huge thank you to all our wonderful vendors who got up in the wee hours of the morning to hunt and fix and create and schlepp (and again, up at the wee hours to participate in our flea markets). Thank you for bringing your great finds to our markets and for setting up such tasty booths! It is an unbelievable amount of work (we know, we've been there), and we thank you for it. Hope to see you all again next year!
