Summer fun, coming your way

I looked out at our little backyard with happiness this morning. A nice, neat patch of green grass, freshly mowed, surrounded by leafy trees and our new plantings: hosta and begonia in a shady spot, herbs in pots sitting in the sun, a flower basket draped with petunias. A couple of new Soji lanterns to soak up the sun and light up at night. There's a nice place to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening, and I love our outdoor table under a canopy; soon, we'll be eating dinner out there every night.

Summer!

Are you ready for it? I'm not talking kayaks and golf clubs – that's a whole different department of fun. But serving pieces, trays, ice buckets, dinnerware... the stuff of summer get-togethers is what we're focusing on at Pomegranate right now (plus weddings, father's day, graduation). And wow, are we jammed with goodies! I mean it: I don't think the store has ever been so full, and there's more waiting in the wings to come in (you do not want to see our garage). Here are just a few random pix of new items...

Some beautiful bowls and trays for summer parties, weddings...

Love this hammered stainless ice bucket. Great gift!

Melamine dinnerware to mix and match for summer fêtes.

Pastis glasses: you need these, especially while playing pétanque.

Lots and lots of wonderful paper placemats for the table.

Chunky European cheese boards.

More Euro cheese/appetizer boards for serving.

Square board perfect for cheese, prosciutto, and olives in a little bowl.

Party banners, cupcake holders, garlands. Wheee.

Just added some fab antiques (and locally made "Bend" tiles)

Baskets and hampers from Senegal: line this one with a clear
plastic bag for  an elegant trash container at your next party.

Labrador holds the menu.

Cloches on tin base: for serving, or as a mini terrarium.

Lovely dinnerware in aqua and white: so fresh.

Rocking garden bench and armchairs in iron.

Table in a bag! Rolls up for storage: great on the porch or for camping.

New solar Soji: more on the way.

Little bowls; great for dips, olives, soaps...

Dad! Cards and perfect gifts at Pomegranate.
